Who uses new restaurant license data
Anyone who sells to restaurants and bars, and wins by being first through the door.
Food distributors
A new restaurant picks its broadline and specialty suppliers during build-out, long before the first service. The license filing is the earliest public sign that one is coming to your territory.
Beverage distributors
Every bar and restaurant that will pour has to file for a license first. That application is your list of new accounts, months before the first case is ordered.
POS and payments
A new restaurant chooses its point of sale, payments and online ordering once, during build-out. After opening, switching means retraining staff mid-service, so most do not.
Kitchen equipment
Equipment is bought early: hoods, walk-ins, ranges and dish machines go in during build-out, and the license application is often filed while that work is being planned.
Hood cleaning
Every commercial kitchen with a cooking line needs its exhaust hood cleaned on a schedule and its suppression system inspected. New kitchens need a vendor before their first inspection.
Pest control
A restaurant needs a pest control service in place before the health department walks through. New licenses are the list of kitchens that do not have a vendor yet.
Linen and uniforms
Table linen, kitchen towels, aprons, chef coats and floor mats are set up before opening day, on a route. A filing tells you which new stops are coming to the route.
Grease and waste
Restaurants with fryers and dish lines need grease trap pumping and used cooking oil pickup, and many cities require a hauler on record. New kitchens need one from day one.
Insurance
A new restaurant needs property, general liability, workers' comp and, if it pours, liquor liability, usually before the landlord hands over the keys or the license is issued.
Marketing and signage
A new restaurant needs a sign, a menu, a website, photos, a Google profile and a grand opening, all in the weeks before it opens.
Staffing and payroll
A new restaurant hires a whole crew in the month before opening and needs payroll, tip handling and scheduling from the first shift.
